Difference between prometaphase and anaphase
Definitions
noun
- the stage of meiosis or mitosis when chromosomes move toward opposite ends of the nuclear spindle
Examples
A chromatin bridge would form at the meiotic anaphase by passage of the two centromeres on the dicentric chromosome to opposite poles of the spindle.
The events in this stage of the cell cycle leading to cell division are prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.
Chromosome loss may be the result of either non-attachment of the chromosome kinetochore to the spindle microtubules or chromosome lagging at anaphase and gives rise to a micronucleus.
